The year 2023 has undoubtedly been a "rich" one.
Rich in events, new formats, and international artists. But also in people, energies, and sounds. The Maya community has grown even larger, shaping indelible memories and making our project on the Coast even more unique.
We bid farewell on September 16th with the last Cueva Electrònica event featuring WHOMADEWHO, Speaking Minds, and MoBlack. Over the past six months, we 've been woking on the 2024 season, which will be characterized by new formats and international collaborations.
Now, however, it's time to reopen Maya's doors.
After the winter break, we're ready to kick off the summer season of 2024: it starts on Sunday, March 31st, with a new sonic project that will accompany us every Sunday in April and May: Solaris.
It will be the perfect conclusion to the Easter weekend, a very important day for the Sorrento Coast, always linked to the traditions of Holy Week.
The opening party on March 31st will be a unique opportunity to pick up where we left off, as if not a day had passed since last year's sunset rituals and parties.
Solaris: a sea-view sonic experience with emotional atmospheres
Rhythms dictated by the movements of the sun, electronic sounds, and sensory energies: the Solaris format arises from the need to anticipate Maya's sunset rituals in the spring season.
In April and May, the days lengthen until they reach their peak, and in the air, there's that exciting anticipation of the imminent summer, a season that we are sure will once again bring us uncontainable emotions and engaging sonic experiences
The focus, as always, will be on the sounds that characterize the beach club and best represent our vision of electronic music. But also on Maya's cuisine, which for the opening will present the spring menu and brunch offerings.
Solaris will be a weekly gathering, a moment for the community to enjoy the vibrations of the beach club and discover new sounds. Every Sunday, Maya will host international DJs and producers, artists from the electronic scene from around the world, consistent with our mood and approach to music.
The first guests of Maya's new format will be Nico Morano , the Belgian DJ and producer known for his emotional blends of deep and melodic house, and Marco Tropeano, the DJ from Naples who owns the label Ojomarino Records.
Nico Morano: a blend of harmonic melodies infused with the vibrant tints of deep house
With over two decades of gigs under his belt, Nico Morano - one of Belgium's most important house music artists - boasts a global presence ranging from Switzerland to Germany, from Morocco to Turkey, from Spain to Denmark, from Japan to St. Martin.
The artist's characteristic sound embodies the color and progressive spirit that is often missing from the contemporary clubbing scene. Resident Advisor has described him as "an artist destined to remain": proof of this is his Ontourage Music label and his performances on the stages of Tomorrowland and Paradise City Festival.
His melodies are harmonious, characterized by an organic and progressive spirit and infused with the lively tones of Italo & deep house, and we can't wait to hear him at sunset during the first unmissable appointment with Solaris, the new Maya format.
Marco Tropeano: a deep love for clubbing
Marco Tropeano, born in '96, is a young DJ and producer from Naples who developed a passion for music and clubbing at a young age thanks to Marco Carola's sets.
Starting from funk, jazz, and soul, he approached electronic music, graduated in Business Technology Education as a sound engineer, and conquered the clubs of Naples with his refined sounds supported by artists like The Martinez Brothers, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Michael Bibi, and Blondish.
A passion for contemporary house sounds that he loves to experiment within his home studio and that have found the utmost confirmation with his label Ojomarino and tracks "No Me Importa" and "Cúrame."
Alongside Nico Morano and Marco Tropeano, there will also be our resident DJs, who this year will be even more involved in our sonic journey.
Behind the Maya console, we will see Luigi La Hara and Ludo Erre - the artists who accompanied all the sunset rituals last year - but also Diana , a DJ from the Roman clubbing and underground scene, and Sebastian , an emerging Neapolitan artist.
Reservations for the resort, restaurant, and sunset aperitif will officially open on Saturday, March 30th. Let yourself be enveloped by the atmosphere of Maya Beach Experience and enjoy a stay in true Maya style.
